Experience
At FIU, I worked with the Writing Fellows Program, where I'd mentor groups of students on their analytical writing assignments. Additionally, I was an intern for the English Department media lab where I'd help students and professors create multimedia texts (powerpoints, posters, videos, etc.) while conducting my own research on the best teaching techniques within that context. I was also part of the Peer Led Team Learning program for General Biology, where I'd lead a study group of 7-10 students each week. As I went to college, I was also able to secure Florida Bright Futures and FIU Presidential Scholarships through my SAT scores. I genuinely enjoy helping others learn—few things make me happier than helping a classmate or a client finally get a tough concept they couldn't make heads or tails of before.
