Private tutor in Miami, FL
Education
Saint Louis University-Main Campus - Bachelors, Psychology, Spanish
Experience
I received my undergraduate degree in both Spanish and psychology from Saint Louis University. I am now working at the University of Miami as a research coordinator where I intend to pursue my doctorate in clinical psychology. I have been a professional tutor for more than six years. I have worked with high school and university students most extensively but I have also worked with younger children and adults who were working on mastering English as their second language. I currently tutor a wide range of subject areas, including algebra 1 & 2, middle school math, pre-calculus, Spanish 1-3, essay editing, psychology, pre-algebra, public speaking, math, English, social sciences, elementary math, and conversational Spanish. I also enjoy working with students who are preparing to take their GRE. My love of teaching developed out of my love of learning and a personal understanding of just how frustrating it can be to struggle with an academic subject. Frequently, when a student is working diligently and still not experiencing the results they want and expect, it is time for them to approach the subject in an entirely different way. I work to understand my students so I am able to help them set attainable goals by helping them understand their own learning process so they are able to better reach their academic goals.
