Education
I graduated from the University of Florida in 2015 with a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. Anthropology. I graduated Summa Cum Laude in my Biology degree and Cum Laude in my Anthropology degree. Overall GPA: 3.86. I obtained my Master's in Anthropology from Penn State University in 2019 with a 4.0 GPA. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Anthropology from Penn State with an anticipated graduation date of August 2024 with a 4.0 GPA as of December 2023. Experience
I have experience teaching middle school, high school, and college level science courses. These include: biology, genetics, chemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, biological anthropology, primatology, evolutionary biology, and cultural diversity. Relevant classes I've taken: Chemistry 1 and 2, Organic Chemistry 1 and 2, Biology 1 and 2, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Physiology, Genetics, and Physics 1 and 2, Biological Anthropology, Human Behavioral Ecology, Archaeology. I am currently a Research Fellow at Penn State University conducting my dissertation work in Miami, FL. I am from here and live here permanently. Prior to attending graduate school, I was employed at a Science education and outreach center at the University of Florida. I love teaching and have been an educator for 11 years! I am very science focused and can break down difficult science concepts to enable students to understand them. I love helping students understand their material and relay how fun and exciting science really is! I hope to bring some of the enthusiasm I have for science in my tutoring sessions to not only help for memorization but also excite people about my passion.
