As a tutor, I believe a positive learning environment is vital if a student is to reach his or her full potential. I create a positive environment with support, enthusiasm, and accessibility. I find teaching satisfying because I can connect with students on a meaningful level and enhance their chances of academic success.I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from Florida International University. I am in a gap year now, and my plan is to enter medical school next year.I gained teaching experience in science classes as a Peer Led Team Learning leader, in Human Anatomy as a learning assistant, and by helping students prepare in several subjects for entrance exams for graduate schools. I also have instructing experience as a coach on the shooting line in the Navy, which required my extreme patience and my utmost attention to details to improve my fellow Naval personnel's skill. I am fascinated by how the human body works and I love teaching related subjects like Anatomy, Biochemistry, Biology, and Physiology.My spare time is filled with reading, free-diving, traveling, soccer, and playing guitar.
