Experience
Currently working as an elementary Reading/Language Arts teacher at a public charter school in South Florida. Tutored 3rd grade Math, 7th grade Math and Science. Worked with students from grades K-10 with different exceptionalities: ADD, ADHD, LD, Autism, HI, LI, OHI, and SI. Worked with ESOL students: Levels 1-5. Administered Reading Interventions (Interest Inventory, CRI's, Running Records) Executed an Action Research Project based on Accelerated Reader's effect on struggling readers. Why I qualify to be a tutor: First and foremost, I'd qualify as a tutor because as a previous intern teacher and a current elementary teacher, I've been exposed to a vast amount of students with different exceptionalities, comprehension levels, and learning styles. Also, I'm familiar with differentiated instruction, working with students in a resource setting, cooperative/collaborative learning, RTI, and reading interventions. Moreover, I've been exposed to various reading strategies that have been proven to be successful and thus have implemented these strategies in my classroom. Besides my experiences that were aforementioned, as a current teacher I am driven and dedicated to my job. I make a constant effort to make sure my students excel in their assignments and daily tasks. If my students are struggling with their classwork/homework I adjust my teaching to make sure they reach their fullest potential. Thus, I make sure I have rapport with all my students; it is essential for a successful learning environment. I make sure my students feel comfortable around me, so they are free to make interrogations and express themselves. It is important for an educator to allow students to be expressive and participative. Therefore, consistent communication with their teacher/tutor is also a key factor for a successful learning environment. Additionally, as a current educator, it is important to me to communicate with my students' parents so I can get to know my students' better and make sure I'm satisfying their needs as well as their children's needs. My end goal is to make sure every child feels safe and has fun while learning and excelling in their studies.

Hobbies
As a dedicated Christian, the majority of my hobbies and interests revolve around church activities. I enjoy going to church, reading the bible, reading religious affiliated books, and outdoor activities. Moreover, I enjoy reading articles on topics related to psychology; specifically human behavior and interpersonal/intrapersonal skills. I enjoy singing and music; on the weekends I sing in a church choir. I've tutored students in my church and enjoy building rapport with young children. I am waiting to be given this opportunity to work with your child/children with open arms. I assure you, you won't be dissapointed! :)
