As a tutor, I am nonjudgmental and enjoy finding fun and creative ways to help all my students achieve their goals. As a child, I had difficulty with schoolwork, so I understand how important it is to have encouragement and support as students strive to make progress and increase confidence. I have a heartfelt desire to empower students, and I use a patient and empathetic approach.I attended Florida International University and Nova Southeastern University, and have an associate degree in Music Theory and Vocal Performance and a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have tutoring experience with students from elementary schoolers through high school seniors. In college, I worked as a volunteer tutor with underprivileged children, helping them with reading, math homework, and writing. Among many other subjects, I tutor Elementary Math, Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, Study Skills and Organization, Public Speaking, Music Theory, Music, Drawing, Art, Handwriting, 1st Grade Reading and English, 1st through 5th Grade Writing and Reading, several Science courses, and Test Prep Skills.In my free time, I enjoy music, singing, dancing, cooking, drawing, playing board games, reading, and seeing movies.
