Experience
I began my work as a tutor when I was in high school. By the time I was a senior, I was the president of the National Honor Society and was a supervisor for the other tutors at my high school. While in college, I worked as a first responder in emergency medical services. Throughout my academic career, I have taken a diverse course of study in several disciplines that range from Japanese to Computer Science. I believe that it is necessary in today's world to have a strong education. As a tutor, I try to emphasize this point to my students and to instill an understanding of the importance in being well-prepared for their exams. I want my students to be able to utilize the skills they have learned and to be confident in their knowledge. I am interested in tutoring an assortment of subjects. I am a 2014 graduate of the University of Chicago, with a major in Philosophy. I have also completed my pre-medical studies and I am currently in the process of applying to medical school. Some of my personal interests are anime, reading fiction, and learning new languages. I am especially interested in French, Japanese, Hindi, Mandarin, and Spanish.
