I am a tutor who excels at mathematics. I'm also very experienced with test prep and knowledgeable in science. I'm able to tutor students in algebra, biology, chemistry, writing, trigonometry, anatomy, physiology, and a variety of other subjects. I also have a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and can assist students with religious studies. I received my degree in Religion and a degree in Biology with a focus on Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of Miami. I have significant tutoring experience through a professional tutoring agency - I've tutored more than thirty students in math and test prep. I've helped students prepare for many different standardized tests, including the ISEE, SAT, SSAT, ACT, and the HSPT. My favorite subject to tutor is mathematics - it can be very challenging for a student to learn but I love watching them finally understand a difficult concept that we've been working on. As a tutor I try to instill confidence in the students that I teach. I believe that helping students believe that they can succeed is an important aspect of teaching. In my spare time I enjoy reading, riding my bike, going on hikes, and kayaking.
