Why I Want to be a Tutor: I am interested in becoming a tutor because I enjoy working with children towards achieving their goals! Previous Tutoring Experience: While working in a middle school as a mentor and tutor, I gained great experience working as both a mentor and tutor to English Language Learners. I created weekly lessons for over 80 middle school-aged children in both Reading and Language Arts classes. I also implemented attendance and behavior initiatives (i.e. personalized reward systems) for at-risk students. Relevant Classes: At Temple University, I majored in psychology and minored in Spanish. I am also certified to teach Social Sciences (grades 6-12) and English as a Second Language (grades K-12).
