Experience

My first tutoring experiences began as an undergraduate at USF, helping other classmates who struggled with some of the subject material (particularly biology, chemistry, statistics, and physics.). However, last year I began tutoring outside of USF and I love it! Since then, I’ve spent well over 1,500 hours working with students from the 4th grade up through college level, across all subjects. I have experience working with children at Kumon Math and Reading Center. I have adapted many of Kumon’s teaching methods into my tutoring sessions with children and have seen vast improvement in their comprehension of their course subjects. I have experience working with adult students that are returning to school after many years. Additionally, I have tutored for exams such as the CLEP, MCAT, DAT, and PCAT, and each of my students passed their exams with above average scores. I can proudly state that the majority of my students improve their marks by two or more letter grades. A few have even improved from an F to an A within the same semester. I have learned from my tutoring sessions that every student is unique, with different confidence levels, learning styles, and study habits. With that in mind, I tailor and adjust every session to each individual’s needs. I have many books, printouts, and teaching guidelines. My goal is to help each student master their subject matter to the point where they are confident with the material. I look forward to working with you or your child!
