Aside from my bachelor's degree, I have over 5 years of math tutoring experience. This experience includes both one-on-one and group sessions. In my experience, I have instituted tutoring programs at the Academy for Advanced Academics and working with many students in FIU's Center for Academic Success. Aside from pure mathematics, I have also helped students succeed in various exams such the SAT, ACT, and AP exams. I myself have taken the AP Calculus AB exam (scored a 5), AP English Language & Composition(scored a 5), AP U.S. History (scored a 5), AP U.S. Government and Politics (scored a 5), and AP Macroeconomics (scored a 4). I have received the National AP Scholar award as well as a National Mathematics Scholar award. I possess great patience, knowledge, and enthusiasm--the qualities that I believe make a successful tutor. I believe that the greatest reward that tutoring students has to offer for me is seeing students engage with mathematics and become great students. I like to watch excitement for mathematics flourish in a student. Note: I prefer to tutor at public locations such as a coffee shop or a library.
