Graduated with Master's in Brain and Mind Sciences from the University of Sydney. Currently a PhD candidate at Florida International University specializing in Cognitive Neuroscience.

Experience

I have tutored at the University of Miami as a Workshop Leader for Organic Chemistry. I have also tutored high school students in basic chemistry and biology during my time as a student. I have taken University level chemistry and organic chemistry as well as biology. I have a unique way of tutoring students to help them understand the subjects. I also have experience in tutoring students with ADD. I understand not everyone is gifted with test taking skills, but I know how to help students understand how to build test taking skills.

Since I am a current university student, my schedule varies due to school and other priorities, but I am always willing to work with students on the schedules. I am highly recommended and very experienced, having cared for special needs children and have 5+ years of experience in tutoring. Rather than simply lecturing a student, I invite the student to get their hands dirty whenever possible. Working through a problem yourself (with the guidance of a teacher) is a profoundly more effective technique in remembering a concept than only hearing it explained. I also encourage students to think critically and challenge what I have to say. My main job as a tutor is to teach my students to be independent learners.
