Recently retired from 40+ years: - Military experience (Commissioned Officer, USCG) - Manufacturing Management/ Executive positions - Owned and operated two multi-million dollar global businesses TEFL Certificate of Proficiency, Via Lingua, Florence, Italy - March 2015 > 2000 hours teaching English, Basic Business Principles, Engineering Skills, Continuous Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma) in over 30 countries (Senior Management) > 500 hours volunteer work for different school districts, plus one-on-one tutoring as required Certified in many business practices and methodologies: APICS, LSS, TQM/TQC, Supply Chain Management, Procurement Management, etc. I want to tutor because I believe the key to bringing jobs back to the United States hinges on education. During my management career, I lived and worked all over the world, and saw firsthand what education provided for the people in the countries in which I worked and operated. I promised myself I would give back what I’ve learned and experienced through the years through tutoring and providing formal education where I can.

I am a lifelong traveler. As stated previously, I’ve lived and worked all over the world (30 countries). Moreover, I’ve traveled to an additional 70 countries for pleasure. I’ve logged some 12 million miles during my lifetime for international travel alone. I consider myself a polymath, in that I read and consume just about everything I can get my hands on. My interests expand constantly. I am especially taken with anything dealing with change, innovation, creativity, entrepreneurism and disruption. I’m just as comfortable discussing classic Italian literature as I am college mathematics. I like to golf, sail and hike; I am an avid theater-goer (my wife is a former NYC actress)
