I attended Florida International University to earn my bachelor's in biomedical engineering with a minor in chemistry. My passion for math and science developed while I was studying, however, I learned my true passion was in education when I worked with the math department as a learning assistant. I also joined Peer-Led Team Learning at the institution, where we worked together to improve our understanding of general and human biology. As a tutor, my favorite moment is helping a student fully understand a topic, whether they are struggling in basic arithmetic or more complex engineering subjects. Education takes dedication, patience, and hard work. I work patiently at the student's natural learning pace, allowing them to fully absorb the information. I instill valuable study skills and organization habits to ensure that the student can be more productive and efficient when working alone. I can prepare a student for the MCAT, ACT, SAT, and other standardized tests by teaching them test-taking strategies and reviewing the material. When I'm not tutoring, I have a lot of hobbies. I love all things outdoors, like rock climbing, photography, and hiking. I am addicted to series like Gossip Girl, Homeland, and Grey's Anatomy. I make and edit videos, as well as enjoy reading.
