Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences with a Biochemistry concentration from Florida Atlantic University. I am the co-founder of a nonprofit organization that implements interactive music programs for stroke victims and those with Parkinson's disease and dementia. Much of my work and academic experience is in the context of research and philanthropic ventures, such as work with the Scripps Research Institute, the Max Planck Research Institute, and the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. One of my favorite aspects of teaching is taking complicated concepts and simplifying them through a hands-on and interactive learning experience. I have spent time as a middle school teacher of Spanish, Math, and Science. I've also helped teach non-English speaking students the basics of mastering the language and helped prepare them for the TOEFL exam. One of my strengths as a teacher is that I'm very self-motivated, and I try to pass that skill on to every student I work with. I'm passionate about using science and research to come up with new, innovative ideas to solve current problems in the world. I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to tutor any time of the day, every day of the week. In my free time, I enjoy music, traveling, and boxing.
