I am currently attending Florida International University and working toward my Ph.D. in Biology with a focus on Plant Evolution. I earned my bachelor's degree in Biology at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. I am passionate about both learning and helping others learn. When I tutor, I strive to help my students both master the subject we are studying and develop a new love of learning they may have not had before. I tutor a variety of subjects, but I am most passionate about tutoring writing (including technical writing) and science courses, and also helping students improve their test-taking skills. Science courses I can tutor include biology, chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, IB biology HL, IB biology SL, honors chemistry, ecology, life sciences, basic science, and others. I can also tutor various math courses ranging from basic math to algebra 2, statistics, and many others. When not tutoring, I like to spend time on the water and outdoors. You can often find me kayaking, camping, and running. I also have a love for art.
