I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from San Jose State University. My area of concentration was accounting. I've worked at two jobs since graduation, the first being in Silicon Valley. I also received the opportunity to mentor a secondary school student via the Minds Matter in Los Angeles, California. This nonprofit organization helps students from low income families prepare for academic success in college. I love to help others succeed and overcome personal or academic challenges. I truly care about my students and want them to feel that they can depend upon me to lend a hand when they need assistance. When I am with a student, I pay attention and actively listen to what they are saying so that I can understand what I need to do to help them succeed. I tutor in many areas, including: Algebra 1 and Algebra 2, Essay Editing, Phonics, Finance, Accounting, Public Speaking, and English. I also help students improve their organizational and study skills. When I am not tutoring, I love to exercise, spend time outdoors (especially on the beach), develop my yoga practice, and cook delicious meals.
