Education

Florida International University - BS, Mechancial Engineering

Experience

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration on HVAC from Florida International University. I have an extensive background in tutoring, going back to my days in high school. In high school, I was part of a group who tutored my fellow students in all areas of mathematics every week. In college, I worked as an assistant with the math department. As an assistant, I tutored students in Algebra and Calculus I and II, graded homework and class work, helped arrange tests, and held group study sessions outside of the classroom. I also tutored privately. I am passionate about teaching Math, Physics, and Chemistry. The process of teaching is just as rewarding for me as the process of learning is for those I teach. I consider teaching to be an art form. I take a holistic approach to teaching. I get to know each individual student first. I learn his or her strengths, weaknesses, and attitude toward the subject we are studying so that I can develop an approach that will best fit the student's needs. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing the guitar, running, and chess. I currently reside in Miami, Florida.
