ExperienceI have worked in education for over 20 years with high levels of success teaching science and working with science educators across the United States, Central America, and South America. I have worked as a math and science tutor for seventeen years in South Florida and have numerous references regarding the quality of my work. I have taught AP Biology and AP Environmental Science for over ten years and work as a national consultant for the National Math and Science Initiative to prepare students for these exams. My students have had tremendous success on AP Exams which has led to success in their university courses.
I am a certified Florida educator in Biology, Chemistry, and Educational Leadership.
I currently work to prepare educational leaders, teachers, and students for success on Florida EOC exams through targeted instruction and focus on details to ensure quality understanding and educational success.
It is my goal to ensure that all students reach their potential in learning. I enjoy working in small group or one-on-one settings to pinpoint gaps in skills and develop a greater understanding in learning through using a variety of multimedia resources.
HobbiesAs a science teacher I have always wanted to be able to say that I have experienced what is on the pages in the textbook. As a result, I have been blessed with being able to travel all over the world to experience science firsthand. I have been to the Amazon, swam in pristine coral reefs, tagged sea turtles, climbed mountains in South America, walked barefoot through the Everglades, and seen cheetahs in their natural habitat.
